The Benefits of Sound Healing:
A Pathway to Inner Peace and Well-being

Sound healing is an ancient therapeutic practice that uses the vibrations of sound to promote physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Drawing on a rich history of use in diverse cultures worldwide, sound healing has recently gained significant attention in the wellness community. Whether through singing bowls, gongs, drums, chimes, or other instruments, sound healing offers profound benefits that can aid in relaxation, stress reduction, emotional release, and even physical healing.

Sound baths with Jarrah and Dan are 60 minutes in length. Participants are invited to come into the yoga studio and lay down for the session. Laying back with an eye bag covering the eyes and a blanket ensures a nurturing feeling and enables the body and mind to enter into deep rest. Over the 60 minutes, listeners are taken on a sonic journey using various sound healing instruments.

Crystal singing bowls are used as a primary instrument, these powerful bowls are specifically made to align with different areas of the body – these areas relate to chakras as explained in yoga and as these bowls permeate through the body – deep healing and release can occur in the physical and emotional body.

Sound Baths in 432Hz.

Sound healing at 432 Hz is often promoted as a beneficial practice for promoting physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. The concept of tuning music and sound to 432 Hz instead of the more commonly used 440 Hz is rooted in the belief that 432 Hz is more in tune with the natural frequencies of the universe, the Earth, and the human body. All of of Jarrah and Dan’s instruments are in 432Hz, ensuring the healing is as optimum as possible.

The affects of the sound healing is varied amongst participants. Most commonly listeners feel extremely relaxed, de-stressed and happy. Some have experienced very clear and powerful visions while in deep relaxation and most feel the benefits days or even weeks after.

Jarrah and Dan hold regular sound baths at Yogareal in Albert Park, Melbourne.
